Grants for patents and trademarks

What does it consist of?

We know that innovating and researching is sometimes more expensive than expected and for this reason we are in contact with all public administrations and different private institutions to be able to access subsidies and grants that allow inventors and entrepreneurs to develop those innovations that need support to reach the market.

Obtaining Financing for Industrial Property Registrations

In our constant effort to provide cost-effective solutions to our clients in the protection of their innovations, we have specialised in identifying and facilitating funding sources for Industrial Property registration processes.

These funding opportunities can make protecting your ideas more accessible and cost-effective. Below, we highlight two key options that can benefit our clients:

SME Fund for European and Spanish Trademarks

The EMS Fund is a valuable source of support that subsidises new trademark registrations, offering a reimbursement that can cover up to 75% of the registration fees. At our firm, we are committed to advising our clients on how to obtain these benefits and manage all the bureaucratic process necessary to secure the vouchers provided by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Patent and Utility Model Grants

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) offers an annual line of subsidies specifically designed to subsidise patent and utility model registrations. These grants cover a wide range of applications, including international extensions through the PCT or the European Patent, as well as international registrations in countries where the SPTO has served as filing office. SOY IDEA has proven experience in processing these grants, having successfully obtained over 400,000 euros in funding for our clients through this programme.

Funding for the protection of I-D

At SOY IDEA, we are committed to providing our clients with comprehensive solutions for the protection of Research and Development (R&D). Many of the subsidies and aid programmes offered by public bodies, such as Provincial Councils or Chambers of Commerce, include provisions to support the protection of R&D through the registration of trademarks or patents. We have extensive experience in managing the necessary requirements for accessing these funding streams and we provide a complete support service throughout the entire process, including subsequent justification before the corresponding bodies.

We are committed to helping our clients maximise their resources and take full advantage of the public funding opportunities available to protect their R&D innovations and developments. If you would like to find out more about how we can help you access this funding and ensure effective protection of your R&D, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help you every step of the way.
